Los Angeles is a vibrant, modern city with a rich history. The average temperature in Los Angeles is 18.2 °C, making the weather here temperate year-round. It is an urban destination that truly offers a bit of everything, from the nearby beaches of Santa Monica and Malibu to shopping trends on Melrose Avenue. As the hub of the American entertainment industry, numerous film and television studios are located here, and most offer tours for visitors. The city is also an exciting place to visit for sports enthusiasts, as basketball fans can catch the games of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Clippers, or the Sparks, baseball fans can attend games of the Los Angeles Dodgers or the nearby Anaheim Angels, and hockey fans can attend L.A. Kings’ games.

A truly international city, less than 50% of Los Angeles’s population speaks English as their first language. Other common languages include Spanish, Korean, Filipino, Armenian, Chinese, Persian and Russian. The city offers a robust collection of museums, cultural centers, cuisines, and tourists attractions.
